Vermiculite Fibreglass webbing is wrapped around an object (e.g. piping, valves) or placed between two surfaces (e.g. flanges) depending upon your application for protection from heat and fire. For instance, a very common application is on surfaces around boilers.
This insulating tape is excellent for wrapping pipes or as a medium between two surfaces like a flange. It can Handle service temperatures up to 700deg C and is an excellent plant solution for personnel protection and insulating tough spots. Vermiculite is impregnated into the E-glass to give it a higher resistance to heat.
Use some of our 493PPC Insulation Tape & stainless steel tie wire to fix this tape in place.
Couple this with a foil tape facing or vapour barrier sealant to strengthen its weather resistance.
